How to Use Safari on an iPhone: 7 Steps (with Pictures)

Ever needed to search the web, but don't know how to using your iPhone? It seems daunting, but it's fairly simple when you get used to it. This article will tell you how to use Safari (Apple's web browser) on your iPhone.
STEPS
1
KNOW HOW TO ACCESS SAFARI ON YOUR IPHONE DEVICE.
Power on and unlock your iPhone device. Type your 4-digit pin (if you have one set up).

Tap the Safari button from the bottom bar (in most often times, is located at this static bar that never changes when you scroll through the list). It could also be on the first page of apps. (If the 2nd, press the Home button at the bottom of your device).

The Safari button is blue, and has an icon that looks a bit like a maladjusted compass on it. (Don't confuse it with the "Compass" app that is installed by default on the iPhone itself only.)

2
KNOW HOW TO INPUT A WEBSITE ADDRESS ON YOUR DEVICE. Tap the bar that will fill in a default value of "Go to this address", and type your address. Press the blue "Enter" button on the iPhone's keyboard to send the page to the page you typed.
You don't need to type the "http://" portion, even in cases where the first three letters don't start with the traditional Ws.

If the website has a mobile site but you typed a non-mobile site, Safari is smart enough that it will send you to the mobile site directly (in most cases).

3
KNOW HOW TO SEARCH FOR SOMETHING USING THE SEARCH BOX IN SAFARI FOR IPHONE. The bar that comes defaulted to saying "Google" can be tapped. Type your search data into the box, and press the blue "Enter" key on the iPhone's keyboard to send the search into Google or, (if you changed it) your search provider of choice (out of only three providers).

4
KNOW HOW TO MOVE BACK/FORWARD IN SAFARI FOR IPHONE. The back and forward buttons can be located at the bottom left corner of the app's screen. Tap these buttons to move between the addresses.

5
KNOW HOW TO BOOKMARK A SITE ON THE SAFARI FOR IPHONE APP.

6
KNOW HOW TO ACCESS SAVED BOOKMARKS ON THE SAFARI FOR IPHONE APP. Tap the box that looks like an open book. Tap your bookmark that you want.

7
KNOW HOW TO MANAGE PREVIOUSLY OPENED TABS. If there are any others open, you'll see a number inside the framed two pages button). Tap this button (in the lower right corner of the app's screen). Swipe through the menu (in a horizontal method), and tap the "X" button from the top left of the tabs you have displayed, to close these tabs down.

TIPS
If you open Safari using a link button, the address bar and bottom (back/forward button will become missing), so keep this in mind.
You can clear the text in the address bar. Tap the address bar, and tap the "X" button that suddenly appears. If you don't replace the text in the address bar with something else, the address will come right back to haunt you, when you press another button on the screen.
The "Stop (loading)" button will only be shown on a page that is currently in a state of loading and will not be shown any other time.
You realize that with iOS5, you can also Tweet your page to someone. Within the same button you used for bookmarking the page above, Tap the "Tweet this Page" button in iOS5 (after initially setting up Twitter on your device). If you have iOS6, it now looks like the Twitter app's button. Tap "Send" when complete. Again, it still has the 120 characters character limits Twitter imposes on it's tweets, so keep the message short. It will attach a link and picture of the page without text to the recipient.
Know how to find your web page history. Open your bookmarks (from process listed above), and tap the History group to find your history). Browse through the history by day you completed the action.
Know how to send a page by email on the Safari for iPhone app. Tap the same page you used to start a bookmark and tap "Mail this Page" (or, in iOS6, tap the "Mail" button-similar to the Mail app on your device) and compile a new message to your intended recipient.
With iOS6, you can set the page as a status message in Facebook. Tap the "Facebook" button, from within the same menu you used to send a tweet or email to a person.
If you have an Apple-branded Airplay printer, you can also print the webpage (for some devices running iOS 4.2 or higher).
With iOS5 and higher, there's even a "Add to Reading List" feature, which you can use (mostly for news articles), but could be used for just about any item that you wish in the Safari app. You can access saved Reading list articles from the "Saved Bookmarks" as well.
Upon typing in your webpage into the address bar on your device, the refresh button will be shown.
The device shows the loading progress in the address bar by the blue highlight that shows above the text.
A few months ago, Google Chrome came out with a separate app that will allow you to search the web with their mobile version of their browser with a separate process.
