How to Set a Passcode on an iPhone: 6 Steps

To create a passcode (password) lock on an iPhone there are a couple of steps. But if you read below this will be pretty easy.
STEPS

1
GO TO "SETTINGS".

2
CLICK "GENERAL".

3
SCROLL DOWN AND CLICK ON "PASSCODE LOCK".

4
CLICK "TURN PASSCODE ON".

5
TYPE IN A PASSCODE OF YOUR CHOICE.

6
UNDER REQUIRE PASSCODE, SPECIFY HOW OFTEN YOU\'D LIKE TO REQUIRE A PASSCODE. If you choose "Immediately", your phone will lock every time you turn the display off. However, if you specify a time frame, your phone will only require a passcode after a certain amount of time has elapsed since the last use.

TIPS
Another option is the option to have all your data deleted if your passcode is entered 10 times incorrectly. This will prevent someone from stealing your phone and trying all 10,000 combinations till they get the correct one.
You have the option of selecting when the password is required to turn on the phone. The default setting is immediate, which is the most secure option. You can also set for 15 minutes, 1 hour, and other times.
Always select a password that no one will know if you so happen to lose it or get it stolen.
